Student stories, shared with care
Every story shows what support can make possible.
Behind each number is a student, family, school, or community moment where support made a difference. Some stories are academic. Some are about attendance, basic needs, behavior, belonging, or post-graduation opportunity. Together, they show how Pando helps students stay connected when the next step could otherwise feel uncertain.
Many stories are summarized or anonymized to protect student privacy while still showing the real impact of the work.
What support changes for students
Small barriers can become turning points when students have someone in their corner.
These stories show how Pando support can meet students in practical, personal, and timely ways. Whether the need is academic help, attendance motivation, food support, emotional guidance, or post-graduation access, the goal is the same: help students stay connected and keep moving forward.
Social-Emotional Learning
Student Leaders Put Service Into Action
Through Pando’s Leadership Club, fourth- and fifth-grade students began turning their ideas into action. They welcomed visitors with a school tour, packed fall-party goodie bags, and wrote thank-you cards for the school custodian. These projects gave students meaningful opportunities to lead, serve others, and build pride in their school community.
Impact takeaway
Cooper students used their leadership club to serve others, welcome visitors, and strengthen pride in their school.
Academic Support
Reading Partnership Inspires Young Readers
Through a new partnership with Credit Union of America, employees began visiting Cooper Elementary to read with students in the library. The students responded with so much enthusiasm that they wished the volunteers could return every week instead of once a month. The partnership is helping make reading engaging, relational, and something students look forward to.
Impact takeaway
A new volunteer reading partnership created excitement around books and gave Cooper students another positive connection to their school community.
Support shouldn't disappear when life changes
A school change, graduation, or hard season can interrupt a student's momentum fast. Pando exists to keep support connected over time, because students do better when they know there is still a place to return to for help, guidance, and next steps.
Students connected to Pando over time are more likely to keep moving toward graduation and post graduation success.
