The Rudd Foundation Scholarship (ruddfoundation.org/scholars) was created to help Kansas residents who qualify for a Pell Grant attend college without the financial barrier.
What it covers. Remaining direct costs after all other aid, grants, and scholarships are applied to your account, including books. It is renewable across four years at participating Kansas public universities.
What comes with it. Beyond the money, the program includes a cohort model with dedicated coaching, an emergency fund, and leadership programming.
Timing matters here. Deadlines have historically fallen in early December of senior year, which is much earlier than most scholarship deadlines. Start this one in October.
