You do not have to figure out a resume alone, and you do not have to pay anyone to help.
Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas (workforce-ks.com) are a one-stop resource for job seekers, offering the tools and training needed to build a career. Because local, state, and federal partners fund them, most services are free.
What you get. Resume assistance, interview practice, workshops, job search help, and access to training funds. They also host industry-specific hiring events throughout the year.
Where. The Wichita center is at 2021 N. Amidon, Suite 1100. The main line is (316) 771-6600. Additional centers operate in El Dorado, Wellington, and Winfield.
Run by The Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas, which serves the region under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
One tip worth more than any template. Bring the actual job posting with you. A resume reviewed against a specific job is far more useful than one reviewed in the abstract.
Also free. If you are enrolled anywhere, your college’s career services office offers resume review and mock interviews, already covered by your fees, and many extend services to alumni.
