The Central Kansas Community Foundation (https://centralkansascf.org/non-profit-organizations/scholarships/) administers scholarships for students from a range of specific Kansas communities, including Newton, Augusta, Andover, El Dorado, and Remington (Whitewater, Potwin, and Elbing), among others.
Awards tied to a single town or school district have far smaller applicant pools than statewide or national scholarships, which makes them some of the best returns on your application time.
Deadlines vary by fund, so check the foundation’s site directly rather than assuming a single date.
If your hometown is not on their list, search for a community foundation serving your county. Most Kansas counties have one, and most administer scholarships.
