BigFuture (bigfuture.collegeboard.org). College Board’s free planning hub, with college search, a year-by-year planning timeline, SAT registration, and a scholarship search. Good starting point if you are not sure what you are looking for yet.
CollegeData (collegedata.com). College search and side-by-side comparison, with admissions data, cost breakdowns, and student profiles.
Kansas DegreeStats (ksdegreestats.org). Kansas-specific and worth using before anything national. It shows cost information for every degree at every Kansas public university and college, alongside potential earnings for graduates of those specific programs. This is the fastest way to compare a Kansas program’s price against what it typically leads to.
College Scorecard and College Navigator cover the same ground nationally. See Card 29.
One thing to do on every school’s site. Run the net price calculator. Published tuition is almost never what students actually pay after aid.
If your high school uses Naviance, log in through your school’s portal to track applications, deadlines, and scattergrams showing where students from your school have been admitted.
