KANSASWORKS (kansasworks.com) is the State of Kansas official site for career and employment opportunities.
What is on it. Job listings statewide, training programs, and career tools. Creating a job seeker account also makes you visible to employers and is the route for applying to many Registered Apprenticeship openings.
Accelerating Opportunity Kansas (AO-K) is worth knowing about specifically. It delivers career and technical education at the same time as adult basic skills instruction, so you complete a short-term certificate aligned with what employers are actually hiring for, leading to an industry-endorsed credential and immediate employment. This is designed for people who do not yet have a high school credential.
Job fairs. The Workforce Centers post industry-specific hiring events through this system, covering aviation, healthcare, manufacturing, social services, and hospitality among others.
