CareerOneStop (careeronestop.org) is the U.S. Department of Labor’s career exploration hub, free and available nationwide.
What is on it. Salary data by occupation and by region, so you can see what a job pays in Wichita rather than nationally. Training program finders. Resume templates and guides. An interest assessment if you are not sure what direction to go.
Why it matters before you enroll anywhere. Knowing what a field pays locally, and what credential it typically requires, is the difference between choosing a program and guessing at one.
Pair it with O*NET OnLine (onetonline.org), which describes what specific jobs actually involve day to day, what skills they require, and what education level is typical.
