Level Up Kansas (levelupks.com) is a free service that connects Kansans 18 and older to education and training options, with a personal navigator guiding you the whole way.
What a navigator does. Gives you unbiased information about degree and certificate programs at Kansas community and technical colleges. Identifies scholarship and financial aid opportunities you may qualify for, in some cases bringing your cost to nothing. Connects you to other free Kansas services including career counseling, FAFSA completion help, and apprenticeship opportunities.
Who it is for. Anyone 18 or older, particularly people who are not sure where to start or restart. If you have been out of school for a while, or you are the first in your family to go, this is built for you.
How it works. Sign up online and describe your education and career goals. In about a week you receive an email from your navigator with personalized recommendations and next steps. Your navigator stays available for questions, and can introduce you to partner organizations that support you along the way.
No question is too small. That is stated in their own materials and it is the point of the service.
