“We have a monthly behavior chart that we work on together to mark our “good” days and our “bad” days. Incentives include extra lunch time, assorted incentive prizes, and extra daily breaks in my room. One student success is a 2nd grader who needed extra support with behaviors and controlling emotions. He participates in our weekly “Bee-Calm” anger management focused group where we talk about big feelings, emotions, and how to regulate them. This student has continued to visit my room daily for his early morning and early afternoon breaks; his teachers, paras, and team continue to comment on his positive progress. I work closely with his teacher on monitoring and rewarding his progress in class, as his academics and his ability to handle stressful situations in class has also improved. He is continuing to do a great job, and received a bicycle from Bike X-Change for the holidays as an incentive!” -Jayden Massey, Pando SSA
