The Leadership Team Assistant is a launchpad role for a recent college graduate who wants broad, hands-on experience across a growing organization before moving into a specialized career path. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations and HR, the Assistant will gain hands-on experience across distinct departments, rotating through and supporting special events, marketing, Reality U, office operations and HR, and school program professional development logistics. This person will build a versatile skill set and a strong resume, with support to transition into a specialized role internally or externally as you grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Special Events: Help plan and staff special events, coordinating logistics, vendors, materials, and day-of execution.
  • Marketing: Support marketing efforts including volunteer recruitment, social media content, email campaigns, flyers, and brand materials.
  • Reality U: Assist with scheduling, volunteer recruitment, materials prep, and on-site coordination for Reality U simulations.
  • Office Operations & HR: Provide day-to-day support for office operations and basic HR functions, such as onboarding, filing, and scheduling.
  • School Programs: Coordinate logistics for professional development sessions delivered through school partnerships, including scheduling, communication, and materials.

Responsibilities will shift based on organizational needs and the Assistant’s developing interests and strengths.

What You’ll Gain

  • Direct mentorship and exposure to the Leadership Team and how a nonprofit/organization runs day to day.
  • Hands-on experience across five distinct professional areas to help clarify your career direction.
  • A well-rounded resume and portfolio of concrete projects and accomplishments.
  • Guidance and support identifying and transitioning into your next role, internally or externally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (any major).
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects at once.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with common office/productivity software (Microsoft Office, Canva) and AI initiatives.
  • A proactive, flexible, team-first attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to travel within Wichita and surrounding areas, with reliable transportation.
