Title: Reality U Coordinator
Status: Full Time, Benefits eligible
Reports to: Reality U Director
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Secure, plan and execute Reality U events
- Recruit and retain volunteers to serve at Reality U events at the school sites
- Facilitate set-up and tear down of Reality U events
- Conduct training with volunteers the day of the event
- Provide orientation with students before the event and debrief at the conclusion
- Plan, design, and update program materials and communication processes
- Promote Reality U at local and statewide conferences
- Other duties as assigned by the RU Director
PRIMARY SKILLS:
- Ability to collaborate with school principals, district leadership, and community partners
- A proven track record in marketing, communications, event planning, and volunteer recruitment
- Self-starter and results-driven professional with exceptional organizational and planning skills, juggling many priorities
- High level of integrity
- Charismatic and motivated to go the extra mile to get the job done
- Passionate about connecting with students and contributing to their educational success
- Ability to consistently follow through on efforts & communication
- High commitment to excellent customer service
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with students, partners and school district personnel
Education and knowledge required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel, cloud-based services including Google Suite
- Some experience working with middle and/or high school students
- Competency in virtual communication platforms
Preferred:
- Some experience in sales
- Some experience writing grants
- Some experience with Canva
Additional Requirements:
- Work Environment: Office/School/Community
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds (Loading and unloading program materials)
- Travel Requirements:
- 75% travel including overnight trips
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle for transporting program materials
- Auto insurance
- Pass various background checks
