Pando News – September & October 2023

North High Senior’s Dreams Come True

Micah’s journey from a senior at Wichita North High School to achieving his dream of attending K-State is nothing short of inspiring. His involvement with Pando began as a complete accident more than 3 years ago, during the height of Covid. Through a twist of fate, he was accidentally added to a Pando student Zoom lunch meeting.  Instead of leaving the meeting, Micah decided to stay and participate. What sets Micah apart is his unwavering dedication and involvement in his school and Pando. He found himself drawn to the conversations and camaraderie he experienced with other Pando students. He realized that Pando was more than just an organization; it was a community that genuinely cared about the well-being and success of its students. Micah became a PandoKid that day, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions he ever made. Find out how Pando is helping Micah and other students thrive by joining us for Cooking for a Cause on November 4th. Get your ticket today!

Volunteer with Reality U™

As local schools gear up to have Reality U™ visit their students, we are looking for volunteers to help facilitate the event. This 75 minute financial literacy simulation for middle and high school students allows them to imagine their life as a 26 year old. Students travel to 12 volunteer staffed booths to experience monthly expenses and financial decisions. Volunteering at Reality U™ is fun, flexible, and takes no special skills!

Check out our upcoming local Reality U™ event dates:  (dates subject to change, advance notice will be given)
