Pando Program Highlight – Wichita West High School

PandoKids at West High has two amazing full time Student Support Advocates. Julia Conway and Tom Wilcox provide support and resources to students at West to make sure they are on track to graduate.

Get To Know Julia

Julia ConwayWhen did you start at Pando?    I started with Pando in the middle of the 2021-22 school year.

Education:    Associates of Fine Arts from Cowley County CC, Bachelors of Fine Arts – Studio Art with an emphasis in community and Social Practices, Art Techer Certificate and Licence from Fort Hays University. Currently enrolled at Fort Hays University to complete Masters of Science in Education.

Any children or pets?   I have 2 kids: Dayton and Lakin. 2 cats: Sideshow and No One. 1 dog: Sparrow.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?    I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends, traveling, nature walks and hikes, yoga, drawing and painting, playing cards and board games, listening to music, and watching television.

Tom WilcoxWhen did you start at Pando?    July 2022

Education:    BA in Human Resources from SouthWestern College.

Any children?   One son, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren. They all live in the Phillippines.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?    I really enjoy playing tennis in my free time.
