SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER TO PANDO INITIATIVE STUDENTS
1:00 pm, Friday Dec. 13th
Bicycle X-change-908 W Douglas in Delano
Wichita, KS- ‘Tis the season of giving and for more than 22 years, Mike Scanga and the Bicycle X-Change team have been giving bicycles to The PandoKids. And this year is no exception.
The bicycles that are donated are used for The Pando Initiative’s Incentive Program which empowers students to reach their greatest potential for academic achievement, behavioral, and personal growth by positively reinforcing their efforts to reach their goals. Students set goals with the help of our Student Support Advocates/Team Leads and discuss an incentive they would like to receive and work towards.
Bikes are just one of many incentives students have chosen as they work and meet their goals and Bicycle X-Change has graciously agreed to donate them to us again this year so we can continue to use them as part of our Incentive Program. Thank you to Mike Scanga and all the employees at the Bicycle X-Change for their hard work! Pando is so happy to partner with Bicycle X-Change, and for their continued support of The Pando Initiative over the years.
“Each year the Bicycle X-Change donates over $25,000 in bicycles services, and accessories to schools, churches, and a number of other charitable organizations, including The Pando Initiative,” said Mike Scanga, owner of the Bicycle X-Change.
Student Support Advocates/Team Leads will be picking up the bikes on Friday, December 13th at 1:00 pm from Bicycle X-Change, 908 W. Douglas. Interview & photo opportunities will be available.

The Pando Initiative connects with students to help them engage and thrive in education and their future. With the help of our Student Support Advocates, we feel that every student can thrive. When students are connected through relationships, they build strength, vitality and the courage to take the initiative. Since 1990, we have successfully been connecting with more than 210,000 students in Wichita, Derby and Haysville public schools.
