Cargill Partnership Works to Promote Healthy Habits for Pando Kids
September 5, 2019
Thanks to a generous grant from Cargill, each of our 23 schools will now be able to start a healthy snack pantry or small school garden. Healthy snacks and fresh vegetables play an essential role in managing students' hunger and replenishing nutrients throughout the day.
Food insecurity can lead to poor performance in schools, create an inability to stay focused, and at times cause behavioral issues. With Cargill's help, we are able to take some of those barriers away giving our Pando Kids the opportunity to thrive in school and in life. We are beyond thankful for the continued support of the Cargill team and all they do for The Pando Initiative and the kids we serve.
We look forward to sharing the journey of this project with the community.
